Because we all need some help along the way…
Nature ~♥~
I have found experiencing the natural elements that God has given us very helpful in replenishing depleted reserves and restoring my peace and joy.  Even science has shown with documented studies nature’s healing effect.  One of my favorite things to do is to walk outside, preferably somewhere there are trees, flowers, and birdsong or along the beach with the sound of the ocean.  As I walk I try to just experience what I am seeing, hearing and feeling.  I don’t try to identify, categorize or judge anything, I just focus on the experience and the joy that is so abundant.
Yoga ~♥~
My first introduction into a different world of intention and stillness. Â It remains my go to for stretching and showing my body gratefulness for standing up to the demands I ask of it in my busy life. Â It is also has the side benefit of quieting a mind.
Meditation ~♥~
No matter how busy or fraught the day is, this is my daily practice. Â I make time for a 10-15 minute session everyday and sometimes it happens just before bed, but that’s okay. Â It has opened a whole new way of looking at my mind and the world which has allowed me to find stillness more and more. Â A stillness, which ironically has lead to a more ‘productive’ life.
Gratitude ~♥~
Another daily practice, this one is always at the end of the day as I pray to Christ and reflect on each thing during the day I am thankful for. Â Perhaps prayer is not something you are comfortable with (I was reluctant for a time) so journaling or writing down what you are grateful for can be just as transforming. Â It was for me.
Affirmations ~♥~
This can be something as simple as a book you are reading, listening to a podcast, following an inspirational account on social media or perhaps some other way you have found to affirm on a regular basis the love, joy and goodness of life. Â For me, I use all those avenues. Â I even, on a whim, purchased a deck of ‘Affirmation’ cards that I will turn to weekly just to gain a different perspective.
These are the practices I have found the most helpful, the daily and weekly things I do to keep me on my path.  These rituals keep me grounded and centered while embracing the journey.  And after all, it’s all about the journey, the Heartfelt Journey!  Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed heartfelt journey! ~♥~
